Cellarhouse produce dark electronica that aims to push the boundaries of music tech and AI generated software by fusing human performance and composition with AI generative software.

From all corners of the world: a project that explored the early limitations of AI music production, developing and exploiting generative music software whilst perfecting the ideal wood-fired pizza and laid back tunes. The Cellarhouse sound could be described as eclectic electro-house fused with ambient sub textures, with layers of liquid chill.

At the point the Cellarhouse project delivered its debut album 'Hard Times', creative AI tech was in its infancy and generative music software was limited, however, Cellarhouse embraced vocal synthesis (different from AI generated vocals) and through part-generated 'creation software', produced an authentic and well-received down-tempo album. On 2024 the recently remixed, 'Kitchen Tunes' EP, inspired by 'wild camping' escapades across the UK, Cellarhouse experimented with Open Source AI production techniques. This was the first attempt to embrace the emerging AI music generative programmes (both commercial and OpenSource software) and push this technology to its limits.

Cellarhouse returned to its Downtempo Electronica roots with the 2025 album 'Travelogue', which fused AI generations with 'real' performances into original compositions. 

The final album, 'That Was...' (due for release October '25) will pause this artistic and academic project, having achieved the ultimate goal of seamless, and realistic, AI integration into tech-infused original compositions. With the challenge completed and having won considerable peer support, the band are taking a break to assess what technology they can rip apart and inspire them to push new boundaries.
